We have important news for all SAP SuccessFactors Onboarding 1.0 users. SAP has made the decision to sunset the Onboarding 1.0 solution, with the initial steps of this process beginning in the second half of 2025. The deprecation of Onboarding 1.0 is planned for the first half of 2026.
What does this mean for Onboarding 1.0 users? Starting with the 2H 2025 release, Onboarding 1.0 will enter the End of Maintenance lifecycle phase. This means the application will no longer receive patches or bug fixes except security patches. Additionally, compliance updates for the year 2026 will not be made available through the regular patch process. However, please note that the system will still be available for use.
Considering these developments, we strongly advise all SAP SuccessFactors Onboarding 1.0 customers to proactively plan their transition to the new Onboarding solution as soon as possible.
