On October 9th, at SAP Portugal’s headquarters, an event dedicated to HR innovation took place, centered on the specific case of Sumol Compal.
It was a highly interactive morning, full of questions and discussions, where Diogo Lopes and Hugo Gonçalves, representing IT, together with Maria João Banazol and Carla Pombeiro, from HR, presented their digital innovation strategy for people management. This strategy involves adopting solutions such as AI with SAP Joule, Time Management with Time Tracking, and the essential migration of their payroll system from SAP HCM to SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll.
From Arago Portugal, our colleagues Mónica Magalhães, Débora Lourenço Franco, and Eduardo Lima Leite showcased what projects of this nature look like in practice, and how they can be greatly simplified — particularly payroll conversion — through parameterized approaches like Arago Success2Cloud or automation tools such as SpinifexIT.
On SAP’s side, we heard the strategic vision presented by regional SAP SuccessFactors leader David Hita and learned about the roadmap for SAP HCM developments introduced by José Luís Nunes.
It was a full house, with plenty of questions, knowledge sharing, and an excellent atmosphere for exchanging experiences.
