Mersen, a global player in electrical specialities and advanced materials, has undertaken an ambitious HR transformation to support its international growth and strategic objectives. In collaboration with Arago, the group has chosen to overhaul its HRIS using the SAP SuccessFactors solution.
To address these challenges, Mersen chose the SAP SuccessFactors solution, integrated by Arago. The project, named Themis, began in March 2022 with the gradual rollout of modules, including:
This cloud-based HR management system provides you with a central repository for employee data, streamlines your HR processes and allows you to manage your workforce more efficiently.
You can manage and track employee goals and performance effectively, which ensures alignment with organisational objectives and boosts employee involvement and productivity.
This gives you a simple way to manage employee compensation programmes as well as ensuring fairness and alignment with business objectives.
You can use this to create and implement personalised career development plans for your employees, so you can foster continuous learning and growth, and develop a skilled and motivated workforce.
This will streamline your employee onboarding process, provide a seamless and personalised experience for new staff, ensure compliance and encourage early involvement and productivity.
This solution makes it simple to streamline and optimise your recruitment processes, from job posting and candidate sourcing to applicant tracking and onboarding.
Mersen is a medium-sized international group with a strong international presence, designing cutting-edge technological solutions for demanding sectors such as wind power, solar energy, electronics, aeronautics and space.
In 2010, the group implemented a global HRIS to structure its HR processes and obtain a consolidated view of its workforce. After more than ten years of use, this tool had reached its limits in terms of the new HR ambitions defined in the 2021-2025 roadmap:

As part of the Themis project, Mersen issued a call for tenders to the main players in the market. Despite the constraints of standardising current solutions, Arago won the contract by proposing an implementation of SAP SuccessFactors tailored to the group's specific needs.
The project began in March 2022, with modules being rolled out gradually. An initial go-live took place in January 2023 with a "mini HR Core" enabling the annual review campaign to be launched.
The implementation of the new HRIS has enabled Mersen to:
Sometimes we had to tweak our processes to make them fit the tool. However, whenever we encountered seemingly insurmountable difficulties, Arago rolled up its sleeves to find the best compromise. It was by working together—in partnership—that we were able to find solutions.
